Help Line  The District Administration, Papum Pare is interested to introduce a welfare service oriented project called ‘ Helpline’ to assist needy people of all sectors like health, Family welfare, family disputes, employments, counseling etc. and other welfare related services. The ‘Helpline’ with enquiry office shall be set up at EAC office, Naharlagun. As such, the voluntary services of any experts from Non- Governmental organizations (NGOs), offices and   public. Such experts may submit their bio-data to  the DC, Papum Pare. Their services shall be voluntary in nature

Pratibha Koj-A competitive examination of Pratibha Khoj under SSA, Papum Pare District was conducted and 21 students from different district of Pappum Pare was selected as per their performance in the written and viva-voce examination. The project “Pratibha Khoj” a talent examination launced by the District Level Management Committee SSA is a noble and pioneering project to encourage the girl students in the field of education.
          A programme was held at I.G. Park on 19th Feb’03 during the Festival of Arunachal, to give away the prizes to the qualified students. Shri Amarnath IAS, Secretary Planning and Tourism gave away the prizes to the meritorious students of Pratibha Khoj Shri K. Tayeng the Festival Officer, and EAC Itanagar, were also present in th occasion. The scholarship for three years at the rate of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred) per month will be given to the qualified students.

 

Training on TLC at Sagalee
Total Literacy Campaign, a centrally sponsored scheme has been launched in  Papum Pare District with a noble objective of eradication of illiteracy from the district.      
          House to House survey was conducted to ascertain the nos. of non-literacy above fifteen years of age to bring to the Total Literacy Centre for study. At the same time, Nos of volunteers who have opted to take the noble task purely on voluntarily basis were also ascertained.

        1st phase training of Volunteer Instructors has been started. Such types of training were already completed at Sagalee, Leporiang, Toru, Balijan and Jote. Attendance of volunteer Instructors in these training is encouraging and their enthusiasm in this programme enlighten with a hope that Total Literacy Programme in the district must be a grand success as a pioneer of Arunachal Pradesh.
