The Chief Secretary Govt of Arunachal Pradesh Shri Satya Gopal, IAS launched the Positive Lives Under Safety (PLUS ) project – a state Govt initiative to decrease the Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate at Community Health Centre, Kimin today on 2nd Dec’2018 in the presence of Shri Bamang Mangha, Chairman Science and Technology, Govt of AP, Commissioner Health and Family Welfare Dr.A.C Burma, Special Secretary ( Health & Family Welfare) cum Mission Director National Health Mission Dr. Kinny Singh,IAS, Deputy Commissioner Dr.Joram Beda, IAS, DMO Dr (Mrs).Subu Tasso Kampu, Nodal Officer PLUS Dr.(Mrs) Tassung, SDO Kimin Lkha Teji, and many senior officers from Deptt of Health and Family Welfare, programme nodal officers, Medical Officer i/c, doctors and staffs of CHC.
After the launching the project at CHC, Kimin, the Chief Secretary addressed the gatherings at Sarkar Apke Dwar camp at Kimin and appealed the people especially the pregnant women to avail the benefit of the PLUS project, he further informed that PLUS project is an innovative project of Govt of Arunachal Pradesh to reduce rate of the Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate in the state and to encourage more and more institutional delivery in all health facility.
Further, he informed that under PLUS project a team comprising of ANM, ASHA and Aganwadi workers will be constitute, and they should work in team spirit to make the PLUS project successful . Their performance will be reviewed quarterly and the best performing team will be awarded cash incentive of Rs.50,000, 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 respectively . He also informed that a monthly PLUS camp will be conducted on 1st, 18th and 27th ANC facilty, AADHAR, CMAAY, PMAY,banks account opening facilty and pick and drop for pregnant mothers will be provided during the camp. He also asked the public to avail benefit of JSY, PMMVY, JSSY, DKY,BBBP and Full Incentivisation schemes under Health Department. Later on, he gave away PLUS badge to team leaders of ANM, ASHA and AWCs.
Special Secretary ( Health and Family Welfare) cum MD NHM Dr.Kinny Singh,IAS also appealed all pregnant women to avail the facility and directed DMO and DRCHO to administer for 100% coverage under the PLUS project.
Total 31 Pregnant Women registered for ANCs , out of which 27 Pregnant Women screened for USG.
The objective of the PLUS is to ensure quality health service like ANC visit by Specialist, identification, tracking and timely intervention , ensure the provision of JSY,JSSK and PMSMA and to reduce out of Pocket Expenditure of Pregnant Women. PLUS project will also provide multi facility single window camps in convergence with Women and Child Development, banks, AADHAR, CMAAY and PMJAY.
